The firm’s Managing Partner, Jonathan Shiff, made aliya from Canada in 1989.
Jonathan serves as lead counsel for many of the firm’s clients in a number of fields (particularly real estate, corporate and non-profit law and regulations, commercial negotiations and overall management consulting) as well as handling real estate and urban renewal transactions (including the attendant tax, regulatory and planning and zoning issues), corporate transactions and lawsuits, estate planning and philanthropy.
Over the years, Jonathan has developed a specialty in the area of non-profits and philanthropic organizations, and represents some of the most familiar foundations and charities in Israel and the Jewish world. Jonathan provides legal and strategic advice to clients in this area, including devising relationships with governmental, municipal, philanthropic and commercial partners, creating and maintaining complex partnerships which increase the influence of all involved and make significant change in areas such as education, welfare and culture.
Jonathan is the Chair of the Himmelfarb High School in Jerusalem and of the Dr. Elie and Batya Borowski Foundation, and serves as a member of the board of the Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem and of Otot, an organization that provides residential frameworks for homeless youths and youths at risk.
